This year, the Arthritis Foundation
"A Joint Walk" took place on Saturday, July 22. The weather was perfect
for a 10K walk. Temperatures in the high 60s and cloudy skies. Given that
we've been having a heck of a nice summer, I was concerned that the temperature would be
around ninety. After all, it is late July which is when we usually get our hot
weather (grin).
130 walkers showed up to raise over
$26,000! Yours truly raised $566.
Last year Sam, the Golden Retriever, was a bit sluggish given the hot weather and well,
you know. This year, thanks to Karen's training, Sam was a much happier puppy dog.
I did the 10K walk in 1 hour and
40 minutes. This included two 5 minute stops and a 5 minute lay over by Lake
Washington while Sam took a swim. As always, Sam was the recipient of a great deal
of attention.
To my supporters, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Your
contribution is very much appreciated. And the supporters are:
