Here's what a kitchen remodel process looks like.

"And so it begins..."

Day #

Here's our project manager and cabinet man.  Ron has been an absolute joy to work with.  I will miss his professionalism, workmanship, and humor.  Great job Ron!

Dishwasher installed today.  Lots of little detail work.  Drawer handles installed.  Etc.

Note the green front on the dishwasher is just a temporary protective guard.

Here's the inside of the lovely pantry.

Under cabinet Zeon lighting.  Now that's what I call bright!

05/25/05

Getting down to the nitty gritty.  More touch ups and detail work.  Big points today are the stove and lights.

Ron spent the day doing final touch up and clean up while waiting around for the granite guys that blew us off!

So the only thing to show today is what we did with some of our old cabinets.  Our improved laundry room.

I did manage to get my wine cabinet mostly filled.  Dang it, I'll have to buy more wine;-)

05/26/04

A somewhat disappointing day.  The granite guys from Skyline Tile and Marble blew us off.  So far this has been the only frustrating part of the process.  They didn't show up on Tuesday claiming a scheduling mistake.  We expected them to show up Wednesday morning, then late morning, then they never showed up.  This has now moved the scheduling of the tile guy out to next week.  They now claim they'll be here first thing on Thursday.  We'll see!

05/27/04

Finally!  The long awaited granite counters.  2 cm thickness with rounded edges.

Besides the granite, Ron finished up odds and ends.  This includes the lazy Susan door and the garbage pull out drawer.

The kitchen is 98% complete.  All that remains is the tiled back splash.  That will come in on Tuesday, June 1.
