The 2001 summer bash
was held on Saturday, July 21. As always, we ate lots , drank lots, and hung out till about
midnight. This year's weather was not very good. Fortunately,
it didn't rain. The clouds never left us and the temps were in the mid
60s.
I picked up some mighty
fine brew at NW Brewworks. A new recipe called Simple Stout.
If you like stout, get some of this stuff, it was just awesome. Thick as
motor oil, tasty as a chocolate shake.
The volley ball net was
back for a second year. A big hit again!. As you'll see
below, some action shots were taken. The kids had a blast playing
volleyball.

Shaindell and Kevin
Ah yes, the newlyweds. Well, its been 3 and half years. I
think that is right, they couldn't decide, so how should I know. |
Kevin and Lory
Kevin! You've been married for 3 and half years! Leave that
young lady alone. |
|
|
Rick, Kris, and Jay
THREE CHEERS FOR JAY!!!
Jay arrived and insisted on taking over the cooking detail. THANK
YOU JAY!! Jay did an awesome job. People commented how good
the food was.
Hum? What's that say for all those years when I did the cooking?
|
Beth and Lory
What a lovely couple. |
|
|
Beth and Bob
What a lovely couple. |
Jeanne and Eirien
The true ladies of this summer bash. They must be wondering what
the heck they are doing here and how much longer they have to stick around
to put in a good showing.
Ladies, it wouldn't be a party without you. |
|
|
Stewart and Debra
Maybe this really is Stewart's wife. Either that, or Stewart paid
the agency extra $$$ for this kind of kiss.
Actually Debra is an awesome lady and she just goes to show how
charitable people can be. Imagine kissing Stewart :-(
What am I saying.... This big guy knows Kung Fu. Note to
self, must remove these comments.

Eric and Michael
I think Eric is stoned, don't you? |
|
|
Sally and ?
This is a work of art. Definitely the finest moment at any Ross
Ranch Summer Bash. When I looked over and saw Sally and this
beautiful little girl sitting on the bench just chatting away, I had to
take this photo. My heart melted at this image. I just keep
asking myself what they are discussing. The chili? Landscaping
projects? World peace? Football? The Mariners? |
Lynn
The Tradition continues. For several years now, at each party,
Lynn is introduced to a new beverage. A few years ago, it was
tequila. Another year, Black Russians. This year, good old
Irish whiskey. YUM!! |
|
|
What better way to polish off a round of
dew, then with a tall glass of Simple Stout. WAY YUM!! |
Rick and Kris
Nice shirt there Rick. Kris, where did you find this guy?
Is that a raspberry I see?
Thank you both for coming, it was a pleasure. |

Kevin convinces Shaindell that a pool table
is a must. Every household should have one. Okay Kevin, I must
be the first one invited to the new pool table. |
