Pot Roast
Cook in crock pot for about 8 hours depending on size
of roast.
Ingredients:
4 pounds chuck roast
salt and pepper to taste
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
4 carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 stalk celery, chopped
Directions:
Season the roast with salt and pepper to taste..
Brown on all sides in a large skillet over high heat, about 4 minutes per
side.
Place the roast in the slow cooker.
Add the soup mix, water, carrots, onion, potatoes, and celery.
Cover and cook on Low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
Do not remove lid from crockpot as this will release the heat and lead to
uneven cooking.
