Lemon Chicken and Potatoes

Slow cooker recipe
 

INGREDIENTS

4 medium potatoes peeled cut into wedges (or use new potatoes)
Salt and pepper
3.5 lbs chicken parts with skin removed.
2 tbsp olive oil
2 medium onions thinly sliced.
2 minced garlic cloves.
1 tsp oregano.
1 1/2 cup dry white wine.
1 tbsp lemon juice.
1 medium lemon sliced into wedges.


DIRECTIONS
Scatter potatoes in slow cooker.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Pat dry chicken parts and.
Salt and pepper to taste.
In large skillet heat oil over medium high heat.
Add chicken and cook until brown on all sides. 15 minutes.
Place chicken on top of potatoes.
Cook onions in skillet until tender. About 5 minutes.
Stir in garlic and oregano and cook for 1 minute.
Add wine and lemon juice.
Bring to a simmer.
Pour mixture over chicken and potatoes.
Cook on high for 2 hours.
Tuck lemon wedges around chicken pieces.
Cook for half hour more.
