Click to enlarge Meteor Crater is located about 35 miles north of Flagstaff.  The meteor hit about 50,000 years ago.  It was about 150 ft across and weighed several hundred thousand tons.  It hit with an explosive force greater than 20 million tons of TNT.

Here is Omer and Glen on the rim of the crater.

Click to enlarge The shock waves devastated all in its path for several miles.  The resulting crater is 700 feet deep and more than 4000 feet across.

The crater is privately owned.  Tours of the rim are available.

Here is Glen being "windblown" as it gets quite windy here.
