These pictures were taken while driving up to and on the Going to the Sun road.
Click to enlarge On Tuesday August 13 we went on the Glacier Park circle tour.  I highly recommend this for your first trip to Glacier.  Starting at our lodge, the tour proceeded along route 2 and the south end of the park.  We stopped at various look out points.

We entered West Glacier about 90 minutes later.

This picture was taken after leaving Lake McDonald Lodge and beginning the climb to Logan Pass on the Going to the Sun Road.

Click to enlarge Our next stop allowed us to go on a one mile walk through a trail lined by old huge cedar trees.

Here I'm hanging out looking over the river in the picture above.

Click to enlarge See the white blotches?  They are the fluffy part of "Bear Grass."  Lewis and Clark named this which actually looks like wild Q-tips because they saw bears romping in a field of it.  Yet bears don't particularly care for it.
Click to enlarge Look for the mountain goat.  He's a bit above dead center.

This is the actual goat used in Jurassic Park.  We got his signature later ;-)

Click to enlarge The whole week before we went on this trip, Karen worried about being mauled by a bear.  Her wish came true.
