My gambling career started back in
1997 on Holland America Nordam. Back then I played Black Jack and did pretty
well winning $300. Over the years I transitioned to 3 card poker with my better
half on Princess Cruises. However we were not receiving offers from Princess
Cruises for free stateroom. We then tried Celebrity Cruises this time playing
slots. We immediately started receiving marketing offers via email and postal
mail for free veranda staterooms - only pay port fees and taxes. We did ok over
the years not winning or losing very much.
We recently started going to our local casino about an hour away. We would stop
over for a night at Seminole Immokalee Casino. They started making this easy by
offering free 2 night stay. The casino is on the way to Fort Lauderdale where we
would board a Celebrity ship.
Our strategy to playing slots.
You might be wondering, "Well, how much to you gamble in order to get all of
these offers?". The casino keeps track of how much money you gamble. This is
referred to as "Coin in". So if I gamble $500 at a slot machine, I will win
some, lose some, win some, lose some, etc. So over a 2 hour period, I may
put in $1,500 into the machine even though only $500 of that is mine. There
is a bit more to it then that of course, there is something called Average
Daily Theoretical (ADT) which is the casino's computation of how much the
casino thinks it can win from you. This is a complex formula that takes into
account how much and how long you gambled as well as what games your played
and how consistant was your play. For the best ADT, it is recommendd to play
the same amount over the same length of time. So do not play $500 one day
for 2 hours and then come back the next day for 15 minutes playing $20.
Notice the second word in ADT is "Daily". If you cannot play consistant
amout and time on a different day, then it is best not to play at all on
that day, OR, do not scan your card in the slot machine so it does not
affect your ADT.
Slots will get you way more deals than table games because slots are
electronic. Table games are up to the casino host to notice you. This is why
I never got offers from Princess even though I played 3 card poker for
years. I now play only slots.
We are both pretty tired of television so we do not watch much. So we like to
watch Youtube videos. We do this instead of watching television. We actually
have a membership so we do not have to deal with advertisements. There are
thousands of videos and channels. My channel is RossRanchTropics. Carol
likes gambling, wildlife, and police videos. I like gambling, crusing,
science, and space videos. We both watch gambling channels such as Cowboy
Slots, Jack Pot Judo, and Mr. Hand Pay among others. There are some good
channels out there that teach you how slot machines work. Gamble Smart for
example has to guys - Mark and Dave - who used to work in a casino and
program slot machines at a slot machine manufacturer. These channels always
start by warning about gambling addiction. Always have a budget you can lose
because in the end if you stay very long the casino will win. Set your floor
and ceiling dollar amounts so you have a baseline as to quit for the day.
They teach you how to set bet amounts - denomination and multipliers.
