We disembarked the Sapphire
Princess Tuesday and spent the day visiting the area around our
hotel, the Park Plaza Victoria London. We had lunch in their TOZI
restaurant while waiting for our room (long story involving guests
who had not vacated the room - took forever - pretty problem) and
then went to the Victorian Train Station. We stopped by the
Apollo Victoria Theater on the way and bought tickets for Wicked for
the Wednesday matinee.
Wednesday, we walked to
Kensington Palace and took the pictures below. Beautiful
palace and the flowers in Kensington Park were gorgeous. The yellow
flowers are called hardy wallflowers. Unfortunately, they are
not hardy in NC but we may plant them as annuals next year.
Wicked was wicked! Such talent! We boarded
the plane for RDU airport on the 18th headed home. There's no
place like home, there's no place like home!
