Assisi:
March 31 - Today we took a tour of the town of
Assisi which is a town in the
Umbria
region in central
Italy,
where
Saint Francis was born and died. We visited
two catholic churches: the Basilica of Santa Chiara and the Basilica of
Saint Francis of Assisi. The Basilica of Saint Francis has been a
UNESCO
World Heritage site since 2000.
