Madrid city tour: Welcome to Madrid. Our tour guide Pepe was a few minutes late which was a bit of a surprise considering all other tour guides were on time if not early.  Pepe gave us a complete run down on the history of Madrid from beginning to current day.  It was a bit odd that Pepe would walk ahead of us unlike all other tour guides who would walk next to us so they could describe what we were looking at along the way.  Eventually Pepe would stop somewhere so we could be lectured about history for about 10 to 15 minutes.  It was a bit odd although very informative.

Our tour of the city today took us to Plaza Mayor, Del Sol building, cathedral, the palace, first settlement, Muslim buildings, architecture based on status, brothel area including tunnel. We stopped and had traditional Spanish drink and tapas.
